The Fatal Presumption of False Salvation
If Christ is not raised in us we are of all men most miserable. If we are cleansed from all unrighteousness by the washing of regeneration we are righteous as Christ is righteous because we are born of God. But if we presume we are saved by accepting Christ by our own will or decision and not by the Holy Spirit through the Blood by the will of the Father who calls us the sons of God, not wretched sinners who cannot cease from sin, we are bastards and not sons.
