“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust,
and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:13-15 KJV)
The escape from the lust that is in the world comes by the grace of God that brings salvation.
The scripture declares that one is "saved by grace, not of works, lest any man should boast".
This means there is NOTHING WE CAN DO, but to cry out to God for mercy.
"O wretched sinner that I am! "I blush to lift up my head!" As the publican beat upon his chest not able to even lift up his eyes. “And he (Jesus) spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”

“The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:16-17 KJV)
No man can enter into the kingdom of heaven without "the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit". YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN Jesus said that "no man can come to the Father, except by me". Jesus was falsely accused for blasphemy because he said God was his father. “Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.”

THE EVIDENCE OF BEING BORN AGAIN:
SIN NO LONGER HAS DOMINION OVER YOU
“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Pray to your Father in heaven in secret, and your Father which sees you in secret,
shall reward you openly.
FLEE FORNICATION AND AVOID THE APPEARANCE OF EVIL.
REJECT UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY LUSTS
If you have been cleansed from all unrighteousness by the Blood of the Lamb
and your mind continually cleansed by the meditating on the holy scriptures
found in the Holy Bible. BE NOT CONFORMED TO THE WORLD,
BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND.
Deny yourself. MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH
TO FULFILL THE LUSTS THEREOF.
DO NOT BE IGNORANT OF SATAN'S DEVICES TO RECAPTURE YOU,
BRINGING YOU AGAIN INTO THE BONDAGE OF SIN,
THAT YOU WOULD BECOME HIS SERVAN AGAIN TO SIN.
"SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? GOD FORBID"
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
