"A JOYOUS OCCASION"

It is, indeed, a rare and joyous occasion when one is delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God. "To whom much is forgiven, much is required." And we are servants of the righteousness of God in Christ. The word is the purifier of our mind, soul and body. The Blood is sprinkled on our conscience so that we can receive and understand what the Spirit of Christ is saying through His word. "It is written." We must follow Jesus'example when He was tempted 40 days and nights in the wilderness. Tempted by the devil and among beasts. He was full of the Holy Ghost even though He suffered in the flesh. We must decrease our flesh by making no provisions for lust to conceive and bring forth sin. It's harder to fall then to endure temptation when we equip ourselves with "weapons mighty through God", building up ourselves in the knowledge of God's word in us. The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. And we are not ignorant of Satan's devices when we give ourselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the word.
