Is it a serious thing to sin willfully after receiving the word of God by faith?
Yes. It is very serious to think "once saved always saved" and then to
"depart from the holy commandment delivered unto them", back into perdition.
BE SOBER. BE VIGILENT. BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY,THE DEVIL,
GOES ABOUT AS A ROARING LION SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.

We must not become vain and careless, "building again the things that were destroyed".

proceeding from a "deceitful heart that is desperately wicked".

WHICH IS THOSE THINGS THAT ARE PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT.
A BROKEN SPIRIT AND CONTRITE HEART
GOD WILL NOT DESPISE.
GOD IS ABLE TO KEEP UAS FROM FALLING AND TO PRESENT US FAULTLESS
WITH EXCEEDING JOY AT HIS GLORIOUS APPEARING.
WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.

CONSIDER ESAU WHO DESPISED HIS OWN BIRTHRIGHT
AND AFTERWARD FOUND NO PLACE FOR REPENTANCE,
