Contending for the Pentecost of our most holy faith in Christ Jesus

Test and try the spirits whether they be of God. A mocking spirit is lord over many and some in particular. The Lord knows them that are His and they who love The Lord quench not His Spirit. God is a Spirit and speaks through His word by His Holy Spirit and gives utterance of His word to His servants. The mocking spirit is resident in reprobate believers in strong delusion that the gifts of the Holy Ghost have ceased. Know this, that all sins against the Son of God is forgiven of men if they repent. But to sin against the Holy Ghost one is in danger of hell fire with no place for repentance though sought after with strong crying and regret. Mockers of Pentecost are increased as the way of truth is evil spoken of and strange fire and excess in spiritual wickedness has fueled the gain-Sayers who deny the power of Christ. Having a dead letter form of godliness they deceive the simple minded, and mock on the Spirit of Christ with contempt and rage. This is the interpretation of the writing on the whited walls of hypocritical mockers: The Lord rules in the kingdom of men and sets up the basest of men. The Lord will deliver the stout hearted to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that the soul that sins may be recovered, yet as by fire.

NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS.

Faith without works is dead. So we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
What works? The works of God. The fruit of righteousness manifest in temples made without hands, in whom the Holy Spirit dwells. New creatures in Christ. Earthen vessels purged from an evil conscience by the sprinkling of the Blood.
BEHOLD the Lamb of God WHICH TAKETH AWAY THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD!
TO AS MANY AS HAVE RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE THE POWER TO BECOME
THE SONS OF GOD.  NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER,
BUT BY MY SPIRIT, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS.

Born again by the Spirit of God. Love, joy, peace, patience, holiness, brotherly kindness, Why? Because the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
The righteousness of God in Christ, in those who walk after the Spirit, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, "crucifying the deeds of the flesh" by taking up our cross daily, "making no provision to fulfil the lusts thereof". Why? To offer our bodies as a living sacrifice: holy and acceptable to God.
So we can come boldly before the throne of grace, without shame, and obtain help in time of need.

Justified by faith in Jesus Christ, we have peace with God.
Because "truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ."

ADD TO YOUR FAITH VIRTUE...

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
