Release the prisoner

There is a place not known to flesh
A refuge. peaceful, solace, rest.
for desperate tears and sorrow-bound
Release the prisoner, lost, now found.

A word is spoken
that calms the tempest
and floods of serpents

Peace, be still!
the wind and sea
Obey Him.

Be clean and whole
Complete in Him
The Holy One
commands
Sin no more!
Lest a worse thing
comes upon thee.

Hath God said?
the tempter scorns
the Word of God
the crown of thorns
the crucified Christ
The power of God.

Well known as written
Breaks light thru darkness
All sins forgiven
with full remission
No more commission
or lust provision

Angels rejoicing
New creatures singing
High praises ringing
Glory to God in the Highest!
